Hello. I configured the consumer lag and only received one alert. I set up the alert, generated messages until reaching the alert threshold for lag, and received the alert. After receiving the alert, I created a consumer to reduce the lag to zero. Once the lag was cleared to zero, I generated new messages and the lag increased, but I did not receive a new alert for high lag. What could have happened?
Lenses will send an alert if you exceed the lag threshold, but it won’t keep sending alerts every time it goes over this limit to avoid unnecessary notifications. When the lag drops below the threshold, Lenses waits a bit to confirm this and then sends a new alert notifying that the lag is below its limit. Only after the brings down alert the will raise again a new high lag alert.
